Partin Park was opened in 1975 with only two playing fields and a concession stand. From its early and humble beginnings, Partin Park has expanded to one of the finest small town parks in the state. The park now bolsters Five Playing Fiends with covered bleachers, Three Concession Stands, Batting Cages Complex, Skate Park, Walking Trails, Rental Buildings, Eight Playground Areas, Nine Outdoor Pavilions, Partin Park is also the home of the souths largest Soapbox Derby and annual Real Squeal BBQ and Music Festival.
Recreation Director Anson Callaway has been an interracial part of its development. Upon his retirement in 2015 Coach Callaway expresses his sincere thanks and appreciation for the many monetary donations of individuals and organizations, along with the recreation department's committee members, the City of Lyons, and Toombs County.
Each June Partin Park hosts the Lyons Tournament. In 2012, the Lyons Youth Tournament celebrated its 50th consecutive year! Come experience Partin Park.
